Phakalane is a sacred space that requires and encourages us to tread lightly within its borders, in our interactions amongst each other and in our relationship to the planet.

As a sign of acknowledgement and consciousness that we are entering and interacting within a sacred space, we have put in place a few simple practices to ensure that you and everyone else who passes through Phakalane can fully experience what it feels like to be in sacred ritual space.

In this regard, we request that you please be aware of the following:

All inside spaces at Phakalane are shoe free, so remember to leave your shoes outside and to bring along warm socks or house slippers to use inside.

Phakalane is a still space, and when you enter the building be aware that other treatments or workshops could be in progress, so please keep your level of conversation low.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the land

Phakalane has a vegetarian kitchen, so when you bring your own food, we ask that wherever possible you bring preservative free and organic foods.

Phakalane’s spaces are cared for by everyone using them. Any used dishes need to be washed, dried off and replaced in cupboards and breakages replaced. Please leave the spaces the way you found them.

Phakalane is situated in a suburb so we are aware of our sound impact within our community. Please enter and leave the premises quietly. In the interest of promoting good neighbourly relations, please do not park in the street.

Thank You
